Handmade using layered paper infused with a thermosetting resin, Richlite was created in the Pacific Northwest in 1943. Originally used for machine tooling in the aerospace industry, the durability, sustainability, and versatility of Richlite provide a material that is just as stylish as it is functional. Over time, Richlite®, a paper composite material, will develop a natural patina over time, altering the original color of the material. "Patina” is a natural occurrence in the product that can either darken or lighten depending on exposure to light.
